For the course Innovating by Design

40% of the dutch elderly is considered lonely and during the pandemic this number got even bigger. Stichting Ontmoet & Groet challenged us to see how technology can help elderly to meet up in a relevant and meaningful way while taking into account the challenges in the life of elderly such as mobility and adoption to technology. To reach the final design, the process included going through three iterations using tools and methods from the Design Thinking Bootleg for each step in the process. The final design is a platform for elderly, called BakeyShare, that allows elderly to bake with others in a social and user-friendly way. BakeyShare creates a new and unique experience with relatively low investments to offer a better community feeling for elderly.
